The unquestionable priority of human life and health over industrial output statistics has been the main principle of Intergas Central Asia’s activities in terms of enhancement of the personnel safety throughout entire operations of the gas transportation facilities. With respect to assessment of the impact of potentially hazardous industrial activities on the employees’ health and to prevent occupational diseases, the Training classes for labour and operations safety function at every subdivision of the Company’s branches and are equipped with personal computers, video devices, visual aids, promotional materials and technical documentation, and also with simulation systems to train first aid skills. At its industrial sites, the Company conducts regular technical training of employees while making use of video aids to demonstrate appropriate and safe methods of operations and utilization of proven and safe labour techniques, and first, pre-doctor visit, aid. Workers are annually tested for the level of competence by the results of the technical training. Pursuant to the requirements set forth in standards and technical documentation, engineers and technical staff are evaluated every three years by commission panels chaired by the representatives of the relative HSE supervision state bodies for compliance with HSE operations and industrial safety requirements. TheCompany’semployeesgettrainingforindustrialsafetyineducational institutions both, in Toensuresafeandaccidentfreeoperationsandmaintenanceofgastransmissionfacilitiesandprotectionofitsoperationalstaff, theCompanycarries out replacement of obsolete equipment, upgrading of industrial capacities, replacement of automated control system at gas compressor units, systems of gas leakage detection and other safety controls with new ones.
